About the Product:

Arabesque is a striking ceramic dinner set that includes three pieces: a soup & pasta bowl, a dinner plate and a side plate; you can buy the whole set or each dish separately.

The dinner plate and the side plate are in delicate cream color with a charming floral motif in deep blue, meticulously engraved in earthenware and decorated by the Italian artisans of the Fasano Ceramiche.

The pasta bowl, made exclusively for DishesOnly, is in deep teal-blue; its contrast with the side and dinner plates generates a modern and fascinating effect that will amaze your guests.

The intense blue color recalls the precious lapis lazuli and gives a unique Mediterranean elegant look to your tablescape. The pattern shows a clear influence of the Arab and Byzantine cultures of Apulia in Southern Italy, where Fasano Ceramiche is based.

This hand-painted ceramic dinner set gives the perfect mood for a relaxing dinner with the sound of the waves lapping in the background.

About the Collection:

Grottaglie, in Apulia (Italy) is a renowned centre for the production of ceramics and pottery. Founded by the Greeks in the 2^nd century B.C, “Kruptaie” is surrounded by rich clay deposits, huge caves, and niches dug into the tufa, which are the perfect hiding spots for large wooden ovens required for firing crockery.

In this setting, Fasano throwers, decorators, and kilnmen have been working for 18 generations to become market leaders in the manufacturing of traditional earthenware. Despite competition from industrial producers, Fasano Ceramiche still decorates each dish by hand and creates unique collections with limited editions like this one made just for DishesOnly.
